BSO Adriaan Roland Holstschool
On our third afterschool care location at the Adriaan Roland Holstschool, the 'Vrije School', we also offer after school care at the school. The philosophy of this care location is based upon the anthroposophical philosophy of the school, which makes the children feel very much 'at home'. The toys, the activities and the adornment are similar to the school's ambiance.
At the Adriaan Roland Holstschool the group is of mixed ages, with regular teachers.
The reception times are:
Monday till Friday: 12:45 – 15:00 or
Monday till Friday: 12:45 / 15:00 -18:30 uur*
* On Wednesday afterschool care takes place at our location at the European school. We pick up the children of the Adriaan Roland Holstschool and the Van Reenen school by 'Alles Kits' buss and take them to the European school.
Schedule and activities
On all of our locations we work with an activity schedule. These schedules are located on the walls beside the entrances of every room. In the holidays we work with themes. Hereunder an example of a regular afternoon at Alles Kits.
15:00 – 16:00 uur all the children arrive. Together we drink a glas of lemonade and eat fruit or a cookie.
16:00 – 17:00 uur an activity is being organized, a diferent one every day. This diverts from tinkering to a joint game, preferably outside if possible.
From 17:00 uur the eldest group is free to play Wii games for half an hour. The youngest and middle group play for themselves with the different toys and games we have lined up, or they read a book or magazine.
From17:15 – 17:45 uur For those who make use of this service, diner is being served!
After this the groups will come together and if interested, the children attend another group activity, such as playing a game or making a puzzle etc.
The children have to be picked up at 18:30 at the latest.
The activities divert from tinkering, ceramics, making jewelry to sports and games. We also offer activities with other organisations, such as tennis- clinics at Tennispark 'de Molenkrocht', baseball lessons at the Bears, violin lessons at Artiance or drama courses by Theo Olthuis.
Please note; we offer activities to the children, but they are not obliged to participate if they do not want to. If they want to read a book or play football with their friends instead, always supervised by a teacher of course, they are free to do so.
